At Target today, the kids walked right past the boxes of Valentine’s because (for once!) this year we are all ready to go. We are just waiting on the class lists and our Valentine’s will be finished. Ahead of schedule!
This year, I perused Pinterest for different ideas. I saw some that were candy free and I saw some that were hand made. One that kept catching my eye were the different versions of Tic-Tac-Toe cards.
My children love the game of Tic-Tac-Toe so I knew this would be right up their alley. We talked about what the card should look like and they decided that they didn’t want to use any of the ones that we had seen. I designed it with their direction and printed out the cards.
We cut the cards close enough to the Tic-Tac-Toe cards and then we put the card with 6-9 pieces of wrapped candy in a medium sized cellophane bag. I bought the bags at Michael’s with a 40% off coupon. I chose the clear bags because the kids will write to and from on the cards. The card will peek through and it will be easy to distribute them in the classroom.
Some of Tic-Tac-Toe versions I saw online used M&M’s or other unwrapped candies. I decided that since they were going to the school, the candy needed to be wrapped.

Meagan from Mommy Travels and I have been doing a monthly link-up over at our travel blogs. We have gotten such great response from people linking up with all sorts of posts so I thought I would bring the link-up over here too!
Do you have a post that you’re particularly proud of? Each month Mommy Travels and Two Kids and a Map will be hosting the Share Your Best link up. Whether you’ve created an amazing recipe, gone on a beautiful trip, or reviewed a product you love this is the link up for you. Link up on either site and show up on both.
Your challenge is to pick out your best post of the month and share it with us. Mommy Travels and Two Kids and a Map are travel blogs, but we also write about many other things (including all of my posts here at Threaded Together!). Link up a post that you are most proud of at the bottom of this post.
This month, we would love you to share your favorite romantic/Valentine’s Day/lovey-dovey post in honor of the special February holiday.
