Since going back to work full-time, I just haven’t had the energy nor the desire to craft. When asked if I was interested in participating in the 2014 Halloween Popcorn Box Blog Hop Party with Laura Kelly Designs, I jumped at the chance. I needed something to force some creativity out of me and I was hoping that I could get the kids involved.
Well, it worked.
The kids and I spent the morning coming up with an idea and then I turned them loose. I let them cut out all of the pieces and glue it all together. The only thing I did was cut out the pieces that attached to the popcorn box. We had such a great time during our family morning. It helped to motivate us to do some other projects. We ran to the store and bought bags to decorate for trick-or-treating.
For our box, we used a mishmash of old Creative Memories papers that I have saved since my scrapbooking days. We also used a little bit of Tulip paint and Aleen’s Tacky Glue and Elmer’s glue to hold it all together.
We decided to go with a Haunted House theme. My daughter was in charge of the front of the house and all the spooky folks peeping out of the window. My son was in charge of the pumpkin patch in the back of the house.
We are thrilled with the finished product! What do you think?
