This is the cover of my planner (which I LOVE by the way). I think “Make Every Day Count” best describes the way I try to live my life. I am not sure what drives my passion for creating and being involved, though I bet a great deal can certainly be attributed to the fact I grew up in, and married into the military life. Whenever I am working on the house, or in the garden, or building something, or going somewhere, people often ask me…”Do you ever stop?”
I usually don’t feel I have time to stop. Each time I move I only get a few years to live, make friends, and put my mark on a place. Even though we moved to Nebraska only last year, our life is already full of amazing new friends that I still appreciate getting to know more and more each day. I also feel we have already done several things to contribute positively to our community through Boy Scouts, and remodeling our house, which use to have significantly less curb appeal than it does now! Everywhere I move, I try to live as though this is the home I am going to be in for the rest of my life. If I don’t dive right in, I’ll never get the chance to fully love and cherish each place we move.
I am trying to make each day matter.
As I said yesterday though, I am trying to work on spending as much time treasuring my days. I vowed I would take some time to myself to meditate and be calm and I did exactly that! Today, I pampered myself. I indulged in a full body massage at a local day spa called Revive. I haven’t had a massage in years and I have to give a HUGE shout out to Wes, my masseuse, because he did an amazing job! I spent the hour clearing my brain, re-centering myself, and just being calm. I was so happy my muscles were able to get a fresh start afterwards as well. I feel even more ready to go out and conquer whatever comes next.
***and for real! if you live in the area go get a massage from Wes and you’ll definitely feel revived too!!!!***
